Eight New Public Transport Routes Open in Aïn Defla

The transport sector in Aïn Defla province has been strengthened with the opening of eight new urban and semi-urban transport lines. This initiative, undertaken by the Public Urban and Semi-Urban Transport Corporation of the province, is designed to enhance transport network coverage, improve public transport services, and respond to the concerns of citizens. The corporation has commenced operations with 20 new buses, recently acquired, which are being utilized to establish these new routes and reinforce existing ones.

The newly introduced lines connect key areas within the province. These include routes from the Aïn Defla Bus Station to Al-Mukhataria, Zenadra, and Rouina. Additionally, new services link Sidi Bouabida in Al-Attaf to the ADL neighborhood via National Road No. 4, and Ahmed Al-Azzali Middle School in Al-Attaf to the Al-Shawahlah neighborhood. Other new routes connect Al-Abadia city center to the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, the Al-Hamama neighborhood in Miliana to the city center, and Miliana city center to Al-Karmat 02.

In parallel with the new line inaugurations, several currently operational routes have also been bolstered with additional new buses, addressing specific needs. These reinforced services include lines connecting Al-Shallal and Mazouni to the city center in Aïn Defla, as well as routes serving the Al-Wiam neighborhood, Wadi Al-Rihan, Aja, and Al-Baraka (950 dwellings) in Khemis Miliana. Further expansion is anticipated, with the continued opening of new lines across other municipalities in the province following the delivery of additional buses as part of the second phase of the transport fleet reinforcement program.
