
Honoring Artistic Tribute to Algeria’s Revolutionary Heritage
Algeria’s Council of the Nation President, Saleh Goudjil, recently welcomed a delegation from the team behind the production of “Spirit of Algeria.” This epic was staged to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the onset of Algeria’s historic November 1, 1954, Revolution and was produced by the Ministry of Mujahideen and Rights Holders. The meeting took place at the Council headquarters, according to a statement released on Sunday.
The delegation, composed of renowned Algerian and Arab artists, included director Ahmed Rezzak, prominent Jordanian actress Abir Issa, Algerian actor Hassan Kachache, and Libyan actor Ali Ahmed Salem, along with other key figures who contributed to the production.
During the meeting, President Goudjil expressed his appreciation for the team’s efforts and praised the production’s artistic excellence, highlighting its role in depicting Algeria’s rich historical narrative across various eras. Goudjil emphasized the importance of preserving national memory, particularly as a lasting legacy for Algeria’s future generations. He further applauded President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s dedication to this cause, noting the importance Tebboune places on the preservation and promotion of Algeria’s historical memory as a national priority.
President Goudjil also touched on the enduring impact of Algeria’s revolution, particularly within the Arab world, and underscored the support Algeria received from its Arab neighbors during its independence struggle—an alliance that Algeria honors and remembers with deep gratitude.
