Oran – On Thursday, Minister of Mujahideen and Beneficiaries, Eid Rabeqa, highlighted President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s dedication to preserving the legacy of the November Revolution and honoring Algeria’s martyrs. During a national gathering organized by the National Association of Major War Veterans, Rabeqa emphasized that President Tebboune is committed to reinforcing Algerians’ bonds with their proud history.
Addressing the conference, titled “The Algerian Revolution Among World Revolutions,” Rabeqa stated that the president consistently shows deep commitment to preserving the values of Algeria’s fallen and living heroes, and actively works to maintain the nation’s historical pride. The event was attended by prominent war veterans, representatives from various revolutionary organizations, and a representative from the Palestinian Embassy in Algeria.
Rabeqa further noted that, following the president’s directives, the Ministry of Mujahideen prioritizes the welfare of veterans, widows, and the families of martyrs, supporting them as a gesture of gratitude for their sacrifices. He also expressed appreciation for the Algerian National Army’s tireless efforts in removing landmines planted by colonial forces during Algeria’s liberation struggle.
Hai Abdel Nabi, President of the National Association of Major War Veterans, underscored that this conference, under the theme “The November Revolution: A Model for Freedom,” serves as a testament to national memory and a rejection of any neglect toward Algeria’s revolutionary heritage. He asserted that, thanks to the sacrifices of martyrs, veterans, and the diligence of dedicated Algerians, Algeria has become a stronghold against threats to its security, stability, and unity.
Abdel Nabi praised President Tebboune’s efforts to build a secure and stable Algeria, acknowledging his strong support for just causes globally, particularly the Palestinian and Sahrawi causes in their fight against oppression and colonialism.
The Secretary-General of the National Organization of Mujahideen, Hamza Al-Awfi, voiced unconditional support for the Palestinian and Sahrawi peoples, emphasizing the Algerian revolutionary community’s solidarity in their struggles for freedom and independence. Al-Awfi also endorsed President Tebboune’s comprehensive efforts toward Algeria’s growth and prosperity, which, he affirmed, are positively impacting citizens’ lives and enhancing Algeria’s standing on the international stage.
In his address, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Sons of Martyrs, Khalifa Samati, praised President Tebboune’s focus on preserving national memory and the values of the November Revolution, integrating these principles into official national documents and instilling them in future generations.
In a tribute to Algeria’s independence heroes, Minister Rabeqa, alongside revolutionary family representatives and provincial authorities, visited the widow of the late war veteran Mohamed Bouhafsi, former president of the National Association of Major War Veterans, at her family home, honoring her on the 70th anniversary of the November Revolution. At the event, held at Hotel Vendome, the minister presented wheelchairs to veterans and certificates of recognition to several individuals in this community.
