Algiers – The Algerian Minister of Veterans Affairs and Rights, Laid Rebika, welcomed a delegation from the Arab Scout Organization in Algiers this evening, Saturday. The delegation was led by the organization’s Secretary-General, Hani Abdel Wahab Mohamed Abdel Moneim.
In a press statement, Mr. Abdel Moneim highlighted that the delegation’s visit to Algeria is part of preparations for the upcoming 6th Arab Scout Forum, which Algeria will host in December. This event underscores the nation’s commitment to fostering youth development and strengthening bonds within the Arab scouting community.
During the reception, which included the presence of the Chief Scout of Algerian Islamic Scouting, Abdelrahman Hamzaoui, a documentary was presented on the life and struggle of Mohamed Bouras, the founding martyr of Algerian Islamic Scouting. Another film highlighted the pivotal role the organization played in raising awareness among Algerians during the colonial period, underlining its legacy in the nation’s fight for independence.
In recognition of the occasion, the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Rights honored members of the Arab Scout Organization delegation for their ongoing contributions to the scouting movement and their dedication to promoting unity across the Arab world.
