President Abdelmadjid Tebboune attended the inaugural performance of the International Philharmonic Orchestra of Algeria, marking the launch of a new cultural initiative aimed at promoting Algerian music globally and introducing world music to Algerians.

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune attended the inaugural performance of the International Philharmonic Orchestra of Algeria on Saturday evening at the “Boualem Bessaih” Opera of Algeria. This significant event commemorated the 72nd anniversary of the glorious November 1st Revolution. Minister of Culture and Arts, Malika Bendouda, stated the orchestra's mission is to present Algerian music to the world and introduce universal music to Algerians. She expressed pride in realizing this project, which embodies high presidential directives and was previously valued by the President during a Council of Ministers meeting, now an institutional reality marking a new phase in Algerian musical history.

Future plans for the International Philharmonic Orchestra include extensive artistic tours across various regions of Algeria, encompassing cities in the Grand South, as well as international tours to major global capitals. The project is underpinned by a national musical training infrastructure, which includes the National Higher Institute of Music, five regional institutes, and seventeen regional annexes, supporting approximately 700 students guided by over 200 professors, in addition to 45 cultural houses hosting music workshops. Further ambitions involve restructuring the national musical training policy to integrate it with the orchestra and developing the artistic education system. The Minister also proposed the re-establishment of the Algerian National Ballet, dissolved in 2016, to revitalize this national artistic institution. Gratitude was conveyed to President Tebboune for the realization of the orchestra and for the launch of other significant cultural infrastructure projects, including three modern
