Algiers – The Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Faysal Ben Taleb, highlighted today in Algiers the sector’s efforts to modernize public employment services to enhance transparency in management and ensure the quality of services provided.

During a public session dedicated to oral questions at the National People’s Assembly, attended by the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Kouthar Krikou, Mr. Ben Taleb explained that as part of the modernization of public employment services, the National Employment Agency has introduced “digital applications and platforms to strengthen transparency in managing its activities.” He noted that the agency provides 37 digital services, including the digital platform for managing unemployment benefits and the digital platform for managing training processes.

The minister added that the National Employment Agency has developed the second version of the “Broker” information system to improve the quality of its services, emphasizing the sector’s commitment to “ensuring transparency in processing job offers, particularly through this system, which is operational in all local employment structures.”

On another note, Mr. Ben Taleb referred to measures taken to contract with institutions providing medical transport services for patients, especially those with kidney failure and cancer. He pointed out that contracting in this area has seen “notable progress,” whether in terms of the number of healthcare providers contracted with social security bodies or the number of beneficiaries of these services, reflecting the ministry’s dedication to strengthening this process.

In this regard, the minister revealed that the number of medical transport providers contracted with the National Social Insurance Fund for Employees has reached 372, while the number of providers contracted with the National Social Security Fund for Non-Employees is 203.
