FFS Celebrates its 62nd Anniversary in Berrouaghia

The Socialist Forces Front (FFS) celebrated its 62nd founding anniversary on Saturday in the city of Berrouaghia, in Médéa province, by holding a gathering at the “Ahmed Cherif Kortobi” cinema hall, attended by party activists and cadres.

During the event, the party’s First National Secretary, Youcef Aouchiche, emphasized that the current regional and international context calls on Algerians to rise above political and ideological differences and remain bound to the nation’s core principles. He highlighted the importance of unity in defending national sovereignty, preserving the foundations of identity, and strengthening the rule of law, pillars that Algeria has always defended with determination.

Aouchiche called for sincere dialogue and understanding among political actors on the national scene to consolidate internal unity and shield the country from external challenges, underscoring the need to stay cautious and united against threats targeting Algeria’s sovereignty. He urged the mobilization of collective efforts to safeguard independence and promote awareness across all segments of society, encouraging their active participation in building a strong state that stands resilient against foreign interference.

The party’s leader also stressed that Algeria’s cultural and linguistic diversity should be seen as a major asset for national development, noting that it must be invested in as a foundation for a strong and independent Algerian identity, free from any external agendas.

Regarding the FFS’s program of activities, Aouchiche announced upcoming campaigns focused on awareness and education, including study days on national economic issues and the digital transformation underway in the country. Additional initiatives will also be directed at health and education, two sectors central to Algeria’s development strategy.

He concluded by calling on party activists to take responsibility and strengthen grassroots action, reaffirming the FFS’s commitment to contributing to Algeria’s stability and sovereignty, particularly in the face of regional challenges and the aggressive policies of the Moroccan regime, which continue to undermine the right of peoples in the region, including the Sahrawi people, to self-determination.
