Walid Sadi Appointed Deputy Chairman of FIFA’s Stadiums and Security Committee

Walid Sadhi, President of the Algerian Football Federation, has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Stadiums and Security Committee at the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), according to the official announcement from the Algerian football authority’s website.

Sadhi, who is the top official in Algerian football, continues to strengthen his presence in international football bodies. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Deputy Chairman of the North African Football Union, and also a member of the Arab Football Federation.

Additionally, Nadhir Bouznad, Secretary-General of the Algerian Football Federation, was appointed as a member of the Futsal Committee, while Salima Ben Aisti, the Federation’s Finance Director, joined FIFA’s Commercial and Marketing Advisory Team.

Walid Sadhi participated in the 47th General Assembly of the African Football Confederation held in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, underscoring Algeria’s significant influence and leadership in African and global football arenas.

This appointment highlights Algeria’s advancing role in international sports governance and serves as a testament to the country’s commitment to excellence and influence beyond its borders, standing firm in its regional and international commitments, including its unwavering support for the Sahrawi cause against Moroccan occupation
