Algeria Begins Preparations for 2026 Hajj Season

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – Preparations for the 2026 Hajj season are officially underway, with an Algerian multi-sector delegation arriving in Jeddah this week to begin laying the groundwork for the pilgrimage.

The delegation was received at King Abdulaziz International Airport on Thursday by the Algerian Consul General in Jeddah, Mohamed Alem. The arrival marks the start of Algeria’s on-the-ground efforts to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj experience for its citizens.

On Friday, the delegation was formally installed at the Algerian Consulate General in Jeddah. The ceremony, presided over by the Director General of the National Office for Hajj and Umrah, Taher Braik, signaled the official commencement of the delegation’s field operations. These operations will focus on organizing and enhancing various logistical and service-related aspects in anticipation of the 2026 Hajj season.
