Adrar, November 9, 2025 – A joint operation in Adrar has resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of processed cannabis, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
Customs officials from the mobile unit attached to the Adrar Customs Inspectorate, working in collaboration with the People’s National Army (ANP), the National Gendarmerie, and the National Security forces, successfully intercepted the illicit shipment.
According to a statement released by the General Directorate of Customs, the operation led to the confiscation of 51.2 kilograms of processed cannabis. The drugs were discovered concealed within an agricultural holding in the Adrar province.
This successful operation underscores the effectiveness of the continued efforts and close coordination between various security services in combating networks involved in the smuggling of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
