The Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transportation, Said Saayoud, accompanied by the Minister of Health, Mohamed Essadik Ait Mesbahoudan, conducted a visit to Beni Abbes to assess the condition of those injured in the tragic traffic accident that claimed the lives of 14 people in the region.
The visit, carried out under the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, saw the ministers visit the Trabbi Boudjemâa Hospital, a 240-bed facility, as well as the Regional University Military Hospital in Bechar. Their primary objective was to check on the well-being of the individuals receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the accident.
During their visit, the ministers personally spoke with patients and medical staff, expressing their condolences for the lives lost and offering support to the injured and their families. They emphasized the government’s commitment to providing the necessary resources and medical care to ensure the recovery of the injured.
In addition to the hospitals in Beni Abbes and Bechar, the ministerial delegation also travelled to the municipality of Tabelbala, located approximately 400 kilometers away, to monitor the condition of other injured individuals who are receiving treatment at the Tabelbala Hospital. This demonstrates the government’s dedication to reaching all those affected by the tragedy, regardless of their location.
The accident has deeply affected the community, and the government’s swift response underscores its commitment to providing assistance and support during this difficult time. The ministers reiterated the importance of road safety and pledged to implement measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
