Sonelgaz Commits to Empowering Youth in Advanced Research Initiatives

Sonelgaz, Algeria’s leading electricity and gas company, has pledged unwavering support for scientific research in the country. Ajal emphasized Sonelgaz’s dedication to providing resources for the nation’s youth to embark on highly advanced research endeavors for the benefit of the country. He noted that Sonelgaz has initiated several agreements with emerging companies, currently holding over ten agreements with these young enterprises.

A significant development highlighted by Ajal is the planned production of carbon monoxide detectors in partnership with startup companies. This initiative, set to commence in the first quarter of 2024, follows an agreement signed a month ago with these startups. This collaboration represents a step forward in technological development and safety measures in Algeria.

Additionally, Sonelgaz has signed an agreement with the National Council for Scientific Research and Technologies. This agreement is timely and sets out to regulate and organize collaboration with Algerian universities. Ajal pointed out that this agreement, aligned with the roadmap laid out by the National Council for Scientific Research, mandates Sonelgaz to follow it, opening avenues for profound research, particularly in renewable energy and hydrogen.
