Amar Taqjout, the Secretary-General of the Algerian General Union of Workers, expressed the Union’s support for all decisions made by the country’s higher authorities aimed at revitalizing the national economy and improving the living conditions of citizens.
According to a statement from the Union, Taqjout reaffirmed this commitment in his opening speech at the seventh conference of the provincial union in Ain Defla. He emphasized that the Algerian General Union of Workers is steadily progressing in a serious work program. This program aims to elect strong and legitimate bodies and structures in accordance with the Union’s constitution and internal regulations.
Taqjout added that the Union is actively collaborating with relevant institutions and sectors to find solutions for improving workers’ conditions. He highlighted the future role the Union intends to play effectively in achieving the desired level.
The statement also mentioned that the provincial conference was organized to restructure the Union’s bodies. It included the endorsement and renewal of confidence in Abdelah Ben Aribia as the provincial secretary of the Algerian General Union of Workers, as decided by the representatives of the workers’ unions in the province.
