President Tebboune Chairs Key Working Session on Final Preparations for July 2 Legislative Elections

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired a high-level working session Tuesday dedicated to reviewing final preparations for the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for July 2, dzwatch has learned.

The session, attended by all officials responsible for overseeing the electoral process, focused on ensuring seamless organization of the vote both within Algeria and among the Algerian diaspora abroad.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Authority revealed that 11 candidate lists have been officially submitted so far, including 9 under political party sponsorship and 2 running as independent lists. The deadline for submitting collective candidacy declarations has been set for Monday, May 18, 2026, at midnight.
