Prime Minister Chairs Government Meeting

Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Nader El Arabi chaired a government meeting dedicated to discussing a preliminary draft law regarding civil status. This initiative falls within the framework of implementing the instructions of the President of the Republic aimed at improving public services for the benefit of citizens and the national community abroad, particularly by enhancing the legal framework related to digitizing civil status records.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, as part of the comprehensive digital transformation project approved by the President, the government reviewed progress on the digitization of the higher education and scientific research sector. This included an overview of developments in university management methods and modernization of university services to enhance student life and streamline public spending in this field.

The government also received a presentation on the financing situation of startup institutions, highlighting the qualitative development of the number of startups and incubators. Additionally, they reviewed the activities of the Algerian Fund for Startups since its establishment in 2020, and discussed prospects for strengthening and developing the investment financing system in innovation.
