At the behest of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attal, has embarked on a working visit to New York to participate in a series of ministerial meetings focusing on the Palestinian issue starting today.
The Ministry stated that these meetings are aligned with the forthcoming critical session of the Security Council regarding the full membership bid of the State of Palestine to the United Nations. Minister Attal will partake in two high-level Security Council discussions on the role of youth in addressing security challenges in the Mediterranean region and on supporting the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
During his visit, Minister Attal will also engage in a General Assembly meeting dedicated to the progress of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to providing sustainable energy for all.
