General Chengriha Congratulates Army on Moudjahid Day
General Saïd Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army (ANP) and Delegate Minister to the Minister of National Defense, has extended his congratulations to the nation's military personnel on the occasion of National Moudjahid Day, observed annually on August 20. In his message, General Chengriha underscored the day's profound significance, noting its commemoration of two pivotal historical moments from the Glorious Liberation Revolution: the Northern Constantine attacks and the Soummam Conference. These events are recognized as decisive turning points in the trajectory of the November Revolution.
The Chief of Staff emphasized the critical importance of embedding these historical chapters within the collective memory of the Algerian people. He asserted that these milestones serve as undeniable testament to the immense sacrifices made by the Algerian nation and its steadfast resolve to live freely and sovereignly. General Chengriha further called upon all citizens to draw vital lessons and inspiration from Algeria's rich and heroic history, reiterating that the responsibility of nation-building is a shared endeavor resting upon the shoulders of all loyal Algerians. He highlighted the enduring strength of the Algerian people's will, which has remained unbroken through various challenges, from confronting French colonialism to combating terrorism.
General Chengriha reiterated the People's National Army's unwavering commitment to its duties, affirming its role as the faithful successor to the National Liberation Army. He stated that the ANP will continue to contribute to overcoming diverse hardships and challenges, citing its recent support for citizens during the country's fires. The Chief of Staff concluded by asserting that the ANP will perpetually serve the nation with loyalty, safeguarding its borders and contributing to its development, thereby preserving the trust of the martyrs and securing Algeria's present and future. He also offered prayers for the souls of Algeria's martyrs and extended wishes for well-being, health, security, and peace to all ANP members and the Algerian people.
