Jijel Receives High-Level Delegation for Fire Response

A high-level Algerian ministerial delegation, acting under the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has arrived in the wilaya of Jijel. The delegation, led by the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and National Planning, Said Sayoud, is tasked with closely monitoring the ongoing situation regarding the forest fires affecting the region. This proactive visit underscores the government's commitment to immediate on-site assessment and response to natural disasters.

Accompanying Minister Sayoud are the Minister of Health, Mohamed Seddik Ait Mesaaoudane, along with the Director General of National Security, Ali Badaoui, and the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughlaf. Their collective presence in Jijel aims to provide direct oversight of the firefighting operations and field interventions. A primary objective of the visit is also to ensure the well-being of those affected by the fires, focusing on the condition of the injured and the efficacy of the care provided to them.

This visit to Jijel follows a previous high-level delegation to Béjaïa, indicating an expanded and sustained government effort to address the impact of forest fires across multiple affected wilayas. The coordinated response, initiated at the presidential level, demonstrates a comprehensive approach to disaster management, emphasizing both immediate operational needs and the humanitarian aspect of victim support and care. The delegation's presence on the ground reflects the state's dedication to supporting its citizens during challenging times.
