Minister of Communication, Mohamed Laagab, stated that tourism media in Algerian outlets remains modest despite the importance of media in this field.
Laagab explained during the celebration of National Tourism Day and the awards ceremony for winners that tourism media has not received the necessary attention compared to other specialized media fields. He highlighted a few active outlets in this area, such as “Al-Siyahi” newspaper, “Al-Wurood” magazine, “Tourism & Travel” magazine, and “Tahwas Press” magazine.
The Minister added that there is a noticeable lack of interest in tourism by both print and electronic media, noting that media plays a crucial and influential role in promoting tourism in every country.
Minister Laagab also urged journalists working for foreign media organizations to shed light on Algeria’s vast tourism potential.
