Dinar Extends Gains Against Euro in Official Exchange Rates

The Algerian Dinar has demonstrated a sustained strengthening against the Euro, according to official exchange rates released by the Bank of Algeria. On Thursday, September 24, the European currency was officially quoted at 152.30 dinars for sale and 152.27 dinars for purchase.

This latest quotation marks a continuation of a downward trend for the Euro. Over a single day, from September 23 to September 24, the Euro's value decreased by 0.41 dinar at the sale rate and 0.34 dinar at the purchase rate. On September 23, the Euro was valued at 152.71 dinars for sale and 152.61 dinars for purchase, indicating a progressive movement.

The strengthening of the Dinar is particularly evident when examining its performance over a longer period. Since September 17, the Euro's sale rate against the Dinar has declined by 1.89 dinars, moving from 154.19 dinars to the current 152.30 dinars. Furthermore, comparing current figures to those from late August reveals an even more substantial shift; on August 24, the Euro was at 155.18 dinars for sale, representing a total decrease of 2.88 dinars by September 24. This sustained trend has led to the September 24 quotation being the lowest recorded level since August 21.
