The Palestine Liberation Organisation expresses its approval of the establishment of the “Hague Group” aimed at providing support for Palestine.

Ramallah (Occupied Palestine) – The Anti-Apartheid Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation expressed its approval on Sunday regarding the establishment of the “Hague Group.” This initiative seeks to put an end to the occupation of Palestinian territories and advocates for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the creation of their own independent state.

The department confirmed in a statement reported by the Palestinian agency “Wafa” that this step “reflects an advanced international stance” in confronting the violations of the occupation, praising these efforts that reinforce the principles of justice and accountability on a global scale.

She emphasised the significance of tackling the dangers aimed at the International Criminal Court, which strives to deliver justice for the Palestinians and ensure that the leaders of the occupation are held responsible for the alleged crimes they have committed.

In this context, she highlighted the importance of ongoing global initiatives to assist the Palestinian people’s fight against the apartheid system and occupation.

The department urged nations and human rights groups to persist in enhancing global legal frameworks to guarantee accountability for the occupation and to strive for the cessation of all forms of apartheid inflicted upon the Palestinian people.

It emphasised the need to assist the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip by ensuring access to basic necessities, considering the violations perpetrated by the occupying forces and the prolonged blockade that has lasted for 18 years.

It was highlighted that there is a pressing need to take action towards suspending the membership of the Zionist entity in global platforms, particularly within the United Nations General Assembly, until it complies with international law.
