According to the Algerian Minister of Trade, Taieb Zitouni, the “Taial” textile complex stands as a vital structural project for the national economy. The minister underscores his sector’s commitment to supporting foreign investors, in line with the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

During his visit to the Guelma province, Zitouni, in press statements, affirmed the importance of providing specific support to foreign investors and overcoming administrative, real estate, tax, and customs obstacles.

Zitouni praised Turkish investors who have made a strong entry into the Algerian market, investing in sectors such as construction materials and textiles. The “Taial” complex, with its 3700 workers, is expected to significantly contribute to transforming raw cotton into exportable final products.

In a related context, Zitouni highlighted the efforts of the trade sector in reducing the import of textile materials, resulting in a positive export balance and an increase in local production.

It is worth noting that the “Taial” complex is considered the largest textile complex in Africa in terms of production capacity, producing around 30 million clothing items annually, with 60% earmarked for export. Taial Textile Complex
