Preparations for the 2026-2027 academic year are actively progressing across Algeria's wilayas. These nationwide efforts are conducted under the direct supervision of the Minister of Interior, Local Collectivities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Saayoud, and in line with instructions from the country's higher authorities. Governors are intensifying field monitoring to ensure the readiness of educational institutions ahead of the new school year.

As part of this comprehensive oversight, governors have undertaken extensive field visits that included the inauguration and reception of new educational institutions. Their inspections also covered renovation, maintenance, and restoration operations in numerous schools. Additionally, they are closely monitoring expansion and construction projects, all aimed at enhancing reception capacities and improving the overall learning conditions for students.

Local authorities are also diligently implementing directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to guarantee the provision of school transport and catering services. These vital services are mandated to be operational from the very first week of the academic year.
