First AADL 3 Homes Slated for November 1st Distribution
The Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City is preparing to deliver the first housing units under the AADL 3 program on November 1st. Minister Mohamed Tarek Belaribi announced this during a meeting to evaluate sector programs. The initial distributions will occur in several wilayas where construction sites have reached advanced stages of completion. This operation is set to coincide with the 72nd anniversary of the Liberation Revolution, imbuing it with strong symbolic significance. According to Minister Belaribi, the initiative reflects the state's commitment to fulfilling its housing pledges and enabling citizens to access decent housing.
Beyond the immediate housing deliveries, the ministry is pursuing a comprehensive approach to urban planning, including a vast program to establish 47 urban hubs across 38 wilayas. These new spaces are projected to cover a total area exceeding 30,000 hectares. Work has already commenced on 16 of these urban hubs, spanning 7,875 hectares and designed to accommodate 493,559 housing units. This strategy aims to create integrated urban environments that can support demographic growth and meet future population needs, thereby strengthening territorial development and structuring new residential areas.
In parallel, the ministry is addressing public amenities, particularly educational infrastructure. A total of 385 school establishments, comprising 207 primary schools, 122 middle schools, and 56 high schools, are slated for delivery before the end of 2026, with an allocated budget of 115 billion dinars. As part of this effort, 115 educational structures out of 270 scheduled for September delivery have already been received, with the remaining set for completion by the end of the year. These vital facilities are intended to complement new residential programs by providing essential services to inhabitants in emerging neighborhoods.
Minister Belaribi further underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to realize President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's commitment to distribute two million housing units between 2025 and 2029. He affirmed that the confidence and interest shown by the President in the housing sector serve as a significant motivator for the ministry to continue its work with determination, ensuring projects are completed within deadlines and the quality of achievements is consistently improved.
