National Religious Affairs Minister Celebrates Quran Champions
Youcef Belmehdi, Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, recently received the first-place winners of the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Holy Quran Recitation in Algiers. The international competition, which recently concluded in Saudi Arabia, saw Algerian participants achieve notable success.
During the reception, Minister Belmehdi emphasized that this achievement reflects the diligent efforts in Quranic education across Algeria. He noted that these educational initiatives benefit from the attention of the country's high authorities, underscoring the contributions of both Quran teachers and Zawaya sheikhs in fostering such talent.
The Minister further highlighted that these combined efforts have culminated in an honorable accomplishment, effectively raising Algeria's flag in a prominent international Quranic forum. He commended the students for their results, acknowledging that they represented Algeria in the best possible way as ambassadors of the Holy Quran and the national religious reference.
