Polisario Cadres’ University Concludes in Boumerdes

The 14th summer university for Polisario Front cadres and the Sahrawi Republic concluded its ten-day session at M'hamed Bougara University in Boumerdes. The event saw a notable presence from the diplomatic corps accredited in Algeria, including representatives from the embassies of Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Venezuela, Mauritania, South Africa, Namibia, Cuba, and Nicaragua. This diplomatic attendance underscored the significant continental and international standing of the Sahrawi cause, with the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic Ambassador to Algeria, Khatri Adduh, and the President of the Algerian Committee for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, Said El Ayachi, also participating.

Throughout the closing ceremony, various interventions reinforced the commitment to the Sahrawi cause. The South African Ambassador to Algeria, Ndumiso Ndima Nchinga, emphasized the importance of sustained efforts to support the Sahrawi cause and to empower Sahrawi youth and civil society in their pursuit of freedom. Fatma El Mehdi, President of the summer university and Sahrawi Minister of Cooperation, lauded the success of the event in achieving its stated goals, specifically commending the enduring support provided by the Algerian people to the Sahrawi cause. Said El Ayachi also praised the university's effective organization and its role in facilitating exchanges on contemporary political issues.

The concluding sessions featured renewed affirmations of support for the just Sahrawi cause and the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination from various speakers, including a representative from the Algerian Council of the Nation and political party representatives. Bouchraya Hamoudi Beyoun, Prime Minister of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, affirmed that Sahrawis, whether on the battlefronts, in camps, occupied territories, or the diaspora, remain resolute in their pursuit of freedom and the restoration of their sovereignty.
