Mobile Judicial Police Seize Over 10,000 Capsules, Bust Ring

The Mobile Judicial Police Brigade in Ain El Wleman successfully dismantled a criminal network specializing in the trafficking of psychotropic substances. The operation resulted in the apprehension of four individuals, aged between 28 and 54, all of whom had prior criminal records. This decisive action underscores the ongoing efforts by Algerian authorities to combat drug-related crime and protect public health.

The operation was initiated following intelligence received by the judicial police regarding a suspicious individual involved in bringing significant quantities of psychotropic drugs into Ain El Wleman for distribution. A plainclothes team was immediately dispatched to monitor the suspect's movements. After developing a field plan, the individual was apprehended, and a subsequent search of their residence, coordinated with the local public prosecutor's office at the Ain El Wleman Court, led to the discovery of a substantial amount of hallucinogenic capsules.

Further investigation, utilizing available technical resources, identified three additional individuals involved in the network. These suspects were subsequently arrested, including the primary supplier, whose apprehension required extending the jurisdiction to an adjacent wilaya. The comprehensive operation ultimately led to the seizure of 10,075 psychotropic capsules, a small piece of processed cannabis, and approximately 28 million centimes in criminal proceeds. Following the completion of all legal procedures, the suspects have been presented before the competent prosecutor's office at the Ain El Wleman Court.
