High-Level Delegation Arrives in Béjaïa for Fire Oversight and Victim Care

A high-level ministerial delegation, acting on direct orders from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, arrived in Béjaïa on Wednesday evening. The delegation included Mr. Saïd Saayoud, Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport, alongside Professor Mohamed Seddik Ait Masoudan, the Minister of Health. Their immediate mission was to supervise the ongoing fire extinguishing operations in several municipalities across the wilaya.
Further strengthening the delegation were Mr. Ali Badawi, Director General of National Security, and Colonel Boualam Boughlaf, Director General of Civil Protection. This comprehensive governmental presence aimed to provide on-the-ground support and direct oversight of the efforts to contain the fires, while also ensuring a thorough assessment of the situation for residents affected by the blazes.
During their visit, the delegation also extended its focus to the welfare of those impacted, particularly by visiting Souk El-Ethnain hospital. Here, officials personally checked on the health status of the injured and affected individuals, reiterating the government's commitment to providing comprehensive care and support. This immediate, high-level response underscores Algeria's dedication to its citizens' safety and well-being during emergency situations.
