Sahrawi Prime Minister Beyoun Expresses Solidarity with Algerian Wildfire Victims

Sahrawi Prime Minister Bushraya Hamoudi Beyoun convened a government meeting on August 29, 2026, in Shaheed El Hafed, dedicated to expressing full support and solidarity with the Algerian people. The gathering addressed the devastating forest fires that impacted several provinces across central and eastern Algeria, with the Prime Minister leading efforts to convey sympathy to affected families.

During the meeting, sincere condolences and deep sympathy were extended to all families bereaved by the tragedy. The Sahrawi people reiterated their solidarity with residents in the affected provinces and with the entire Algerian nation, underscoring the profound and enduring bonds of brotherhood that connect the two peoples.

Further demonstrating this commitment, Mr. Amrabih El Mami, Head of the Political Organization Secretariat, announced the initiation of a comprehensive solidarity campaign. This initiative will span all Sahrawi wilayas and national institutions, mobilizing support for Algerian citizens impacted by the fires. The President of the Sahrawi Red Crescent, Bouhbaini Yahya Bouhbaini, affirmed that the Sahrawi people, through all their segments, stand in unity with the Algerian people during this challenging period and are dedicated to providing assistance to those affected.
