The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Monday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank since October 7th has risen to a staggering 2,808, with at least 10,950 people injured.

In a brief statement on Monday, the ministry reported, “2,750 citizens have become martyrs, with over 9,700 others injured in the Gaza Strip.”

The same source further explained that “the number of Palestinian casualties in the West Bank has reached 58 martyrs, along with 1,250 injured since October 7th.”

The West Bank has become a focal point of tensions and clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli military, coinciding with the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip.

For the tenth consecutive day, the Israeli army continues its intense airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the destruction of entire neighborhoods and causing thousands of casualties among Palestinian civilians.

In the early hours of Saturday, the military operation “Al-Aqsa Deluge” was launched against Israel by Hamas in collaboration with other Palestinian factions in Gaza. This action was in response to “the ongoing attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against the Palestinian people, their property, and their places of worship, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.”

Meanwhile, the Israeli army initiated the “Iron Swords” operation, continuing its intensive airstrikes on multiple areas in the Gaza Strip. This area is home to more than two million Palestinians who have been enduring deteriorating living conditions due to the Israeli blockade in place since 2006, which has intensified during the current conflict.
