In a national evaluative meeting at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki, Minister Abderrahmane Hammad emphasized the pivotal role of sports infrastructure in Algeria’s development. He expressed pride in Algeria’s infrastructure, attributing the country’s international standing to this crucial element.
The minister underscored the significance of sports infrastructure in executing the extensive national program aimed at constructing and renovating various sports facilities to meet international standards. He highlighted the exceptional measures taken by his ministry to support elite athletes and high-level training, outlining legal and organizational frameworks for their recruitment and advancement.
Minister Hammad revealed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports led the way in implementing exceptional measures for the benefit of elite athletes and high-level performers. Legal and organizational frameworks were established to guide the training and development of this group for employment and promotion.
Furthermore, the ministry initiated the integration of beneficiaries from the assistance program into professional integration and social integration contracts for certificate holders. Over twenty thousand individuals across the nation benefited from this initiative, including 17,980 from the assistance program for professional integration and 2,889 from social integration contracts for certificate holders.
Minister Hammad highlighted the ministry’s rapid issuance of legislative and regulatory texts of utmost importance, such as the amendment to the law on the organization and development of physical and sports activities. Additionally, executive decrees were issued to review the classification and ranking of elite athletes and high-level performers based on their sporting achievements.
The minister also emphasized the importance of the national evaluative meeting for the youth and sports sector.
