Minister Announces Final Delivery of Exploitation Permits to Investors

Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies, Fazia Dahlab, affirmed the successful delivery of all final exploitation permits within her sector to benefit investors. Waste Management Algeria .

In a press statement during her working visit to Tissemsilt province, Minister Dahlab disclosed that her ministry will maintain continuous communication with investors to meet their needs and provide legal support for the realization of their projects on the ground.

Minister Dahlab emphasized that the circular economy extends beyond waste management, encompassing the reuse of water recovered from water filtration stations for both agricultural and industrial purposes.

Highlighting the President’s directive, she mentioned the instruction to recover 60% of water produced by filtration stations for use in various fields.

Addressing waste management, Minister Dahlab revealed that the total waste generated amounts to 34 million tons, with only 10% of household waste being recovered. She urged the necessity of assigning economic value to these waste products.

Furthermore, she stated, “Efforts are underway to recover 30% of household waste, 50% of inert waste from construction sites, and 30% of industrial waste by 2030.”
