Iranian Ambassador Hails Strong Algeria-Iran Ties in Farewell Meeting with President Tebboune

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received outgoing Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Reza Babaei on Sunday in a farewell audience marking the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Algiers.

Speaking exclusively to dzwatch following the meeting, Babaei described his tenure as a period “full of joint work and constructive cooperation between the two countries.” He extended his deep gratitude to President Tebboune for the warm reception he received throughout his mission in “this distinguished brotherly nation.”

On bilateral relations, the Iranian envoy stressed his country’s commitment to “strengthening bonds of friendship and cooperation across all fields — from elevating political relations and deepening economic ties to intensifying parliamentary cooperation and promoting cultural and tourism opportunities.”

Babaei also praised the Algerian people’s “renowned generosity” and the country’s “rich history and vibrant culture,” expressing his best wishes for Algeria’s continued stability, prosperity, and advancement of bilateral relations.
