Algeria’s Minister of National Education, Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui, confirmed on Monday that all examination centers across the country are fully prepared to host the 2026 Middle School Certificate (BEM) exams, stressing the importance of ensuring optimal organizational and pedagogical conditions for this key national milestone.
The minister made these remarks while chairing a national videoconference attended by central administration officials, the Secretary-General of the National Office of Examinations and Competitions, education directors, and delegate directors — all gathered to review final preparations for the BEM exam.
Saadaoui told dzwatch that he commended the efforts of all institutions and public authorities involved in organizing the examination, highlighting the high level of coordination and discipline recorded in subject handover operations, as well as the securing of distribution, examination, and correction centers.
The minister further stressed the need to ensure full readiness of facilities designated to receive candidates, including adequate accommodation, transport, catering, and proper care — particularly for students residing in boarding institutions — affirming that every student has the right to sit the exam under the best possible conditions.
