Saïdal Projects Target 2027 Anti-Cancer, Vaccine Output

The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouidri, has ordered the acceleration of anti-cancer drug and vaccine production projects, mandating their commissioning before the end of the fourth quarter of 2027. This directive was issued during a technical meeting at the ministry's headquarters, which included executives from the public group Saïdal and representatives from various foreign companies. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of strategic projects under Saïdal's purview.

Technical presentations during the session detailed the advancement of the anti-cancer drug production project in Constantine wilaya, which aims to produce these medications in various forms. Concurrently, the vaccine production project in Annaba wilaya also saw its progress reviewed. Both initiatives are classified as priority projects within the pharmaceutical industry sector, recognized for their crucial role in enhancing national production capabilities.

Minister Kouidri emphasized the urgent need to expedite the completion of these projects, stressing strict adherence to the established timelines for their operational launch by late 2027. Completing these facilities as scheduled is expected to support national capabilities in drug production, contributing to Algeria's health security and sovereignty by reducing reliance on external sources and ensuring the local provision of strategic pharmaceutical products.
