President Tebboune Implements Communication Ministry Reform

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has officially ended the functions of Mr. Elyes Bouricha as Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication, a decision formalized by a presidential decree signed today. This move by the Head of State, who also serves as Supreme Head of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, forms part of a broader, ongoing process of reorganizing high state institutions.
The dismissal of a key figure within the Ministry of Communication is described as a strategic redeployment within the governmental apparatus. This action underscores President Tebboune’s stated commitment to administrative rigor and his vision for restructuring vital sectors, aiming to enhance efficiency and accelerate promised institutional reforms across state bodies.
This latest administrative adjustment follows other high-level changes observed within the state's administrative landscape since July. For instance, the Official Journal earlier formalized the termination of functions for Mr. Adlane Noureddine, who held the position of Sub-Director within the Directorate of Transmissions and Telecommunication of the Presidency of the Republic, through a decree dated July 22, 2026. These measures collectively highlight a consistent effort to refine and optimize state governance.
