President Tebboune Urges Youth to Uphold Martyrs’ Message

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune commemorated National Mujahid Day, an occasion marking the dual anniversary of the North Constantine Offensive and the Soummam Congress. The President’s message honored Algeria’s national history, recognizing the profound significance of these pivotal historical stations not only in upholding the symbolic status of the Mujahid but also in proudly reflecting on Algeria's victorious present.

In his message, President Tebboune urged the current generation to carry forward the message of the Mujahideen and martyrs. He emphasized the importance of learning from their immense sacrifices and investing in their legacy to advance the nation and fulfill the aspirations of the November generation. These historical milestones underscore the safeguarding of national sovereignty and the reinforcement of a strong state, whose strength is rooted in the awareness of its youth and the cohesion of its people, ensuring the martyrs’ message continues to illuminate the path towards national leadership.

The President elaborated on the deep meanings of this anniversary, highlighting the strategic genius of the November generation in sustaining and evolving the revolution in accordance with the principles of the November 1st Proclamation. This was crucial in confronting colonial schemes aimed at perpetual occupation and denying the people their right to freedom. He noted that August 20, 1955, embodied a direct confrontation strategy, while August 20, 1956, represented a qualitative leap, creating a multi-dimensional strategy that reshaped traditional colonialism's equation, not only for Algeria but for all oppressed peoples. President Tebboune concluded his message by paying tribute to the martyrs and expressing appreciation to the Mujahideen on their national day.
