Six Algerian Talents Represent Nation at Moscow Forum

The 5th International Children's Cultural Forum recently commenced in Moscow, Russia, with a notable Algerian delegation comprising six young talents. These children, aged between 12 and 17, are among the top-ranked winners of the "Ashbal Al-Thaqafa" (Cubs of Culture) competition in the "Fityan Al-Ibda'a" (Youth of Creativity) category. Their participation underscores an initiative to support emerging cultural talents, encourage creativity, and accompany them in their artistic journeys on an international stage.

The Algerian representatives bring diverse talents to the forum, spanning novel writing, short stories, poetry, theater, music, and plastic arts. During the event, the delegation made efforts to highlight aspects of Algeria's national cultural identity. They wore traditional Algerian attire, including the Karakou, Mlehfa Chaouia, and Kamizora, which garnered attention from other participants and attendees. Furthermore, the delegation presented samples of Algerian dates and traditional sweets, aiming to introduce the diversity of Algeria's culinary heritage and the distinctiveness of its national cuisine.

The forum, hosted in Moscow, has gathered approximately 1800 children from 89 Russian regions and 17 foreign countries. Algeria is one of four Arab nations participating, alongside Oman, Libya, and Egypt. The event's program includes training workshops, lectures, and masterclasses across various artistic specializations, complemented by cultural performances from the participating countries. This international platform offers young participants a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange, interaction with diverse creative experiences, and a chance to present their countries' cultural and historical richness to a global audience.
