2,000 Additional Hajj Permits Granted to Algerian Seniors

President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has announced the allocation of 2,000 additional Hajj permits for the 1448 AH season. This compassionate decision is specifically directed towards Algerian citizens aged 70 and older, as confirmed by a statement released Monday by the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport.

The extra permits are designated for senior citizens who have demonstrated a persistent desire to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. To be eligible for these new allocations, individuals must have registered for the Hajj lottery a minimum of ten times previously without having been selected through the standard process.
