New Paperless University Enrollment for 2026 Baccalaureate

Algerian universities are preparing to welcome new baccalaureate holders for the 2026 academic year through a comprehensive digital registration system. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has adopted a fully digital framework for this year, operating under the slogan "electronic registration with zero paper." This initiative allows students to complete all stages of registration, guidance, and payment using approved digital platforms, removing the need for immediate physical presence at university institutions.

The new system streamlines the entire enrollment process, starting with students entering their preferences and concluding with final registration. It enables baccalaureate holders to manage their registration steps, including selecting specialties, receiving guidance, and processing payments, all through digital means. Required documents and data are submitted electronically, facilitating the issuance of a virtual student card and subsequent confirmation of university enrollment after guidance results are published.

Beyond initial registration, the digital platforms extend their services to cover various other university-related requests. Students can submit applications for scholarships, accommodation, and transport, adhering to specific conditions and deadlines set by the relevant authorities. For example, scholarship applications for the 2026 academic year are scheduled to be submitted between September 1 and September 15, 2026, via the dedicated Progress platform, with studies commencing on September 22, 2026.
