The Algerian national football team, known as the Verts, has secured a significant 3-1 victory against host nation Italy at the Mediterranean Games 2026. Ahmed Kohili restored Algeria's lead, and moments later, Mohamed Bouderbala solidified the victory by scoring the third goal, sealing the 3-1 outcome.

This second consecutive success in the competition positions Algeria with six points, placing them alone at the top of Group B.
