Saad Arous Appointed Head of Electoral Authority

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune signed a presidential decree on Monday, officially appointing Saad Arous as the head of the National Independent Electoral Authority. This significant decision, affecting a key national institution, was communicated through a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic.
The presidential decree formally concluded the tenure of Karim Khelfane, who had been serving as the acting head of the National Independent Electoral Authority. His duties were terminated as part of the same presidential action.
The appointment of Mr. Arous to lead the independent electoral body represents a direct presidential decision, overseeing the leadership of an institution central to national electoral processes.
