ADE Mobilizes Teams for Jijel Water Restoration After Wildfires

Algérienne des Eaux (ADE) has initiated swift technical interventions to repair infrastructure and pipelines damaged by recent wildfires in Jijel. The national public company's primary objective is the rapid restoration of potable water supply and the continuity of public service in the affected municipalities. These efforts highlight a coordinated response to mitigate the impact of the disaster on essential services.
The repair operations involved extensive mobilization of ADE's technical teams, reinforced by units from neighboring wilayas. This collaborative deployment aimed to enhance intervention capabilities and accelerate the pace of work in the impacted regions. Specific actions included the repair of a DN 250 pipeline in El-Gharyana, crucial for supplying Taxena municipality, and the rectification of a disconnection in the DN 400 pipeline in Chekarda, which serves Ouled Rabah municipality.
In continued efforts to progressively restore the water supply systems affected by the fires, the director of ADE's Jijel unit conducted a field visit. This inspection covered several facilities responsible for supplying Ouled Yahya Khedrouch municipality, allowing for direct oversight of system status and the progress of service recommissioning. Algérienne des Eaux continues to deploy its technical personnel and available resources, coordinating closely with local services to ensure sustained potable water provision and a gradual return to full supply in all affected areas.
