Council of Nation, ANIE Leaders Discuss Coordination for Democracy

Azzouz Nasseri, President of the Council of the Nation, recently received Saâd Arouss, Head of the Independent National Election Authority (ANIE), in Algiers for a courtesy visit. During the meeting, Mr. Nasseri extended his congratulations to Mr. Arouss on his appointment by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to lead the constitutional body, wishing him success in his duties. This engagement is seen as a commitment to serving constitutional institutions and strengthening democratic practice within Algeria.

Mr. Nasseri underscored the significance of constructive coordination among national institutions as a cornerstone of participatory democracy. He highlighted that such collaboration is crucial for the success of Algeria’s endeavors, contributing to the solidification of good governance and the advancement of national reforms currently underway under the leadership of President Tebboune.

For his part, Mr. Arouss commended the pivotal role played by the Council of the Nation in Algeria's institutional landscape.
