Oran Hosts Sahrawi Journalism Union for University

A delegation from the Sahrawi Workers' Union (UGTSARIO) is actively participating in the Summer Journalism University, currently underway in Algeria's Oran Province. This professional event is dedicated to the critical theme of "Narrative Wars" and serves as a platform for international journalistic exchange. The Sahrawi delegation includes the UGTSARIO Secretary-General, Nafei Ahmed Mohamed, alongside Mohamed Al-Taqi Al-Talhi, who serves as the Secretary-General of the Sahrawi Union of Journalists, Writers and Authors.

During the opening ceremony, the Sahrawi delegation delivered a speech, extending congratulations to the Algerian National Organization of Journalists for organizing this important initiative. The university's central objective is to confront contemporary propaganda campaigns and psychological warfare, fostering a collaborative environment for media professionals to address these challenges.

Looking ahead, the Sahrawi delegation is also scheduled to deliver a dedicated lecture. This presentation, titled “Digital Narratives and Ways to Counter Hostile and Malicious Propaganda Wars and Their Methods,” will delve into strategies for combating misinformation and hostile narratives in the digital sphere, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the university's proceedings.
