Ghazaouet Businesses Draw Diaspora for Summer Stays

Ghazaouet, located in Algeria's Tlemcen province, has become a favored summer destination for members of the Algerian diaspora. During this season, various local businesses and activities draw in Algerian visitors residing abroad, offering a range of tourist activities, dedicated accommodation, and diverse culinary options. These establishments aim to provide appealing experiences for those returning to their home country for vacations.
Among the popular outdoor pursuits, Locaquadz, founded by Franco-Algerian Yassin Guendouzi, provides electric quad biking excursions. Participants can explore scenic landscapes and swim in Boukhnaies cove during the approximately three-hour activity. Additionally, "Bateau 2 Frères DZ" in Ghazaouet offers boat excursions departing from the port of Sidna Youchaa, with options to include jet-skiing. These activities encourage visitors to engage with Algeria's natural beauty and recreational offerings.
For accommodation, "Like Nedroma," which established itself in Tlemcen a decade ago, offers equipped housing options, some featuring swimming pools. The region also boasts a highly-rated culinary scene, highlighted by a Franco-Algerian run establishment that combines a creamerie, tea salon, and restaurant. This venue, recognized as the best restaurant in Tlemcen wilaya, serves a variety of dishes including traditional Algerian fare, pizzas, grilled items, and paella. The co-founder, Mohamed Sebbouh, emphasized their commitment to investing in Algeria, stating that they "work with the children of our country and 100% Algerian products," a sentiment echoed by diaspora clients who express pleasure in seeing such establishments.
