Algerian Chief of Staff, General Saïd Chengriha, received the Chief of Defence Staff of the Republic of Sierra Leone, General Peter Kakoo Waw, during his official visit to Algeria along with a high-level military delegation.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Defence, General Chengriha expressed his confidence in the success of this visit, particularly in light of the recent visit of the Sierra Leonean President to Algeria. Both leaders are committed to elevating the bilateral relations between the two countries to the highest levels.
General Chengriha emphasized the Algerian military’s genuine desire to enhance lasting military cooperation between Algeria and Sierra Leone, based on trust and consultation.
In response, General Peter Kakoo Waw, the Sierra Leonean Chief of Defence Staff, affirmed the alignment of visions between both parties on security issues discussed during their bilateral meetings. He expressed hope that his visit to Algeria would lay the foundation for strong and productive military relations that serve the mutual interests of both nations.
