Algeria Unveils National Decision-Support System to Accelerate Digital Transformation

The Algerian government, meeting Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, examined a landmark project to design a national decision-support system — a move that aligns directly with President Tebboune’s directives calling for a comprehensive approach linking all public sectors through unified, interconnected data.

The project, exclusively confirmed to dzwatch, represents “a decisive new step toward building an effective, secure, and integrated national digital ecosystem,” and is set to establish a modern governance model guiding strategic policy choices based on reliable and interlinked statistics — ultimately enhancing administrative performance across public affairs.

The cabinet also reviewed progress on the Eastern Mine Railway Line project, as part of ongoing oversight of major infrastructure developments nationwide. Ministers were briefed on the advancement of track renewal and ballast works along the Ain Smara–Draia section, underscoring Algeria’s accelerating push to modernize its transport infrastructure.
