President Teboun Chairs Cabinet Meeting on Petrochemicals, Eid Livestock Imports & Key Infrastructure

President Abdelmadjid Teboun today chaired a Council of Ministers meeting covering several critical national dossiers, dzwatch has learned.

According to an official presidency statement, the session addressed Algeria’s national strategy for developing the petrochemical industry to boost domestic raw materials production.

Ministers also reviewed the progress of sheep importation operations ahead of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, as the government moves to ensure adequate supply for Algerian families.

The cabinet further heard a briefing on the advancement of two major infrastructure projects: the mining rail line serving Belad El-Hadba and the expansion of Annaba Port — both pillars of Algeria’s industrial ambitions.

Additionally, the situation of Algérienne des Eaux and national water management policies were reviewed, underscoring the government’s commitment to securing water resources for all citizens.
