Tourism Sector Sees Atlantis Hotels’ Diversification in Algeria

The Atlantis Group is actively diversifying its investments within Algeria's tourism sector, moving beyond its existing hotel portfolio. The group is now expanding into areas such as restaurants, leisure parks, and beach concessions. Currently, Atlantis Group operates six operational hotel establishments located across Algeria, including Atlantis Akbou, Aurès by Atlantis, and Atlantis Bejaïa in Bejaïa; Alger Aéroport and Air de France in Algiers; and Lounis Hotel by Atlantis in Oran.

Further demonstrating its commitment to growth, Atlantis Group plans to open a seventh hotel in Oran during the first quarter of 2027. This new establishment, formerly the Eden Airport hotel, will feature 120 rooms, including eight suites, three swimming pools, a spa, and a fitness room. It will also include a large multi-purpose hall capable of hosting up to 600 people, alongside two additional halls for 200 and 150 guests, strategically positioned in the Oran airport zone to cater to both business and leisure clientele. Additionally, an aquatic park with a large swimming pool, designed to accommodate up to 300 visitors, is under construction as an extension of the Atlantis Akbou hotel.

The group is significantly enhancing its culinary offerings with multiple new restaurant ventures. In Akbou, Atlantis operates "La Pendule," a bistronomic restaurant, and "Le Relais," which targets a broader social demographic. Bejaïa is home to "Sousta," a restaurant providing buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the summer, as well as "Le Palmier," known for its fish specialties and views of the port. Each of Atlantis's hotel establishments also features its own range of restaurants. Complementing these developments, the Atlantis Group has secured a 4,500-meter concession at Djoua beach in Bejaïa, near Tichy, developing a space primarily for families, capable of accommodating up to 500 clients daily.
